Safari West : Safari West is a really cool place to visit just outside of Santa Rosa. They are a non-profit certified to participate in captive breeding programs. They specialize in animals from Africa. You can have lunch and/or dinner there, take a safari in a genuine safari four-wheeler or even spend the night in a tent cabin near the animals. Check out their website at www.safariwest.com! I'm sorry that my animal pictures aren't quite up to snuff. Animal photography is a whole different animal from what I usually do and you really have to focus on what you're doing to be successful. I can already hear the groans about what I just said not being punny.

Kona & Chuka : Kona was the older of the two. She had a purple tongue and the attitude of a sumo wrestler. Get out of my way! Chuka was a puppy her entire life. She had an upside down white Christmas tree on her chest and paw with white toes. Though she had a bit of pit bull terrier in her, she was the most gentle dog ever. The women in the pictures are my wife, Louise, and her mom, Irene.
